In December, Baturin participated in fierce battles in the area of ​​the village of Verkhne-Kumsky against the army of the tank divisions of the Don Army Group Manstein, who had risen to the aid of Paulus. Having survived, Soviet soldiers went on the offensive. In January, Baturin participated in the liberation of the villages of the Rostov region: Zimovnikov, Budyonovskaya and Yegorlyk.

After that, Baturin was withdrawn from his part and aimed at studying. He graduated from improving the technical composition of armored troops in the year and Kuos in the year. Baturin returned to his mechanized corps, which became the 4th Guards in the year, only in May, and in the rank of lieutenant’s guard was appointed commander of a tank platoon in the south of the Guards Tank Brigade.

In October, his tank, among other liberators, triumphantly drove along the streets of the capital of Yugoslavia of the city of Belgrade.

In years, Baturin participated in hard bloody battles in Hungary. He ended the war on the territory of Czechoslovakia. Since the year, senior lieutenant N. Baturin in reserve. He lived and worked at a mine in the city of Donetsk. He died on October 13th. He was buried in Donetsk.
