Sumy, where, by the way, was born, it was during these years that I felt my attachment to Fanca and Jazz. From that moment on, my idea of the guitar has changed dramatically - tell me when you arrived in Moscow and how did the capital meet you?
The fact is that in the year I ended up in Moscow at the invitation to become a participant in the orchestra under the control of Anatoly Kroll. In this orchestra, I worked for almost two years, and during this time I, as they say, overgrown with connections in the musical environment. Working in the orchestra, I have grown significantly in professional terms, and this creative baggage always helps me.
But when I went to Holland in the year, I had to work solo, and this circumstance allowed me to rise to a new step, to a new level of creative opportunities. I was finally convinced of the creation of a solo album in the guitar shows held in Moscow, which was held by Music Box. And in the year, on the "Prestige Records" Union Studios, in the series of instrumental music "Best Guitarists" and my album called "It was solved unexpectedly easily." The album is completely copyright and is made in the style of the fusion.
What musical equipment do you use in concerts and on the record? Today I have several guitars, but I give preference to the guitars of the Ibanez company - this is the model of "George Benson" and S FM. To process the sound, I use the digital processor "T. Since the year I have been working as a guitarist in the accompanying composition of Valery Syutkin. From the year we have been associated with musical friendship with a wonderful jazz musician Manukyan. Currently, Sergei and I are every Tuesday in a jazz-cafe called "M-bar". Sometimes we are invited to jazz festivals in the different heads of the CIS. In the solo album of S. Manukyan "Secrets" "Solid Records", G. is now being prepared for the release of the new album of Sergei, where I also takeuules.
Since January of the month of this year, Alexei Kozlov collected the "New Arsenal", where he invited me. Every Friday at the Forte club there are concerts of the new team. Periodically, I play in various clubs with Vyacheslav Gorsky Group "Quadro". In the Novomalbom "New Romantic Jazz" G. In whatever project I participate, my attitude to work is as professional as possible.
And, of course, participation in all these programs for me as a guitarist is an opportunity to realize myself in different directions, which is a good school. Tell us about it. Molotkov, in the year I wrote my first work called "Melodic models in improvisation." This manual was released by samizdat and turned to the guitarists, taking the first steps in jazz improvisation. The second work was already written in Moscow in the middle of x, it is called “auxiliary tones in improvisation”, and fragments of these manuals can be found in the latest issues of the magazine “Music Box” under the heading “Tips to the guitarists”.
As for the second half of the question, it seems to me that in America our musicians to break through is very difficult. The fact is that the American show business reluctantly lets Europeans, and, in general, I believe that the total level of jazz and not only jazz musicians from the CIS countries are significantly lower than the level of local artists. It differs from the first album, first of all, by its even style solution, electronic sound and original compositions.
The album is called the "inspiration time", and the pianist-amubler Vadim Naumov and the bass player Evgeny Sharikov helped to create this album.
