Biography of Konstantin Savina
The history of the appearance of a vineyard in the Perevalsky district is rooted in the years of the twentieth century, when young specialist Andrei Savin came from Moldova from Moldova after service in the army.
As local people say, before the arrival of Andrei Zakharovich Savin in those places of grapes, no one had too stony soil around. He processed grapes into wine using his own technology and distributed to friends, neighbors and acquaintances, ”says Konstantin Savin about his father. Andrei Savin decided at a new place of residence to arrange a little Moldova.
In his free time, he was engaged in his favorite thing, planted, tied, looked after and cut his favorite plant. So, in the end, he grew up grape bushes. Since the year, Konstantin Savin began to slowly continue his father's work. On his advice, he put his vineyard in the field opposite his father’s house and began to cultivate it. And in the year I organized a winery.
At first, like his father, his son was engaged in grapes for the soul, but the hobby gradually grew into the cause of his whole life. Vinograd fields are now in Konstantin Savin on a area of 15 hectares, 22 thousand bushes of grapes are growing - more than 40 varieties. The bulk is wine varieties: “muskat”, “rising” and “Merlo”. But there are table varieties, such as: “Moldova”, “Early Magarach”, “Kishmish”.
15 people work on the farm, among whom there are father of father who came to Donbass from Moldova. This year for the Vinogradsky economy turned out to be difficult, as for all farmers of the republic. Plants were badly affected by frosts that covered the region in May. Now Konstantin Savin has 22 thousand grape bushes - more than 40 varieties have grown in a area of 15 hectares.
Go to the photobank of the Communist Party - now we have gathered the entire crop and processed it, but we still have a lot of work in our field. Already dug those grapes that will not suffer colds. We uproot the plants who died from spring frosts, dig holes for new seedlings. We pruning an extra vine, ”says the Master Andrei Bumba vineyards. The specialist shares his experience and shows how to properly trim the bush in order to form it - the future crop depends on it.
We need to cut the weaker processes, we also remove the branches close to each other. There should not be more than five of them on one bush. And one of the main rules of pruning - we leave six kidneys on a vine, ”Andrei Bumba shows on the vine. By the way, they do not throw the cut vine: it is sorted out, cut, leaving five to seven of the kidneys, and now the cuttings are planted in prepared holes.
Well, the largest, in my opinion, was 32 tons or 36 I no longer remember. When the clusters ripened, they are collected in baskets and laid on the trailer. Then they are taken to the production workshop for processing - the entire process on the winery in Bugaevka is performed manually. Therefore, it is not possible to use the technique especially, ”says Andrey Andreevich.
Now the Savin winery is not only a vineyard. This is the own production of the wine of grapes in our area have certain species and shape, which differ not only from French, but also from Crimean and Krasnodar. By the way, baskets are weaving from the vine here in the vineyard, in which ripe fruits later collect. According to the Law, the Lugansk region was not part of the Grape growing region.
Somehow we came to the fact that we became an experimental site from the Tairov Institute, ”continued Konstantin Savin. The varieties that received the farm from the institute took root, and began to give good crops. They are still growing on the farm. Not only local residents come here, but also guests from different corners of the country. This is its own wine production, and the only one in the republic.
In addition, this place attracts people - every week, especially on the weekend, not only local residents come here, but also guests from different parts of the country.
