The owner of the largest in the central part of Russia of the private museum of technology. The passion to create a collection sometimes becomes worse than the disease. Countless questions arise: where to restore, where to store, how to serve? After all, the car must drive, must participate in competitions, should be alive. ” Vadim Zadorozhny was born in the picturesque city of Uzhgorod, located in the valley of the Carpathian mountains.
In childhood, he spent a lot of time with his father on hunting and fishing. After school and service in the border troops, Vadim Zadorozhny entered the Krupskaya Moscow Pedagogical Institute, where he received the profession of a history teacher. In the year, having received a diploma of complete higher education, he went to work in their specialty. In parallel with this, he was carried away by the collection of brands, coins and other items of antiquity, including objects of peasant life.
The desire for cognition and the new passion for antiquity did their job, soon Vadim became in circles of antiques specialists, earned authority and universal confession that he subsequently resulted in a significant event in his life - he founded and later headed the Russian Antiquarie Guild. Vadim did not try to create a private collection inaccessible to prying eyes.
It was very important for him that all the objects he collected can be seen, considered. In his soul, he was the same teacher who wanted to tell and show how ancient subjects played a role in the formation of the fate of people and entire states. The embodiment of this idea was the creation of a museum of technology. Vadim said that he had the feeling that everything was leaving, lost and disappeared, and he, collecting this collection, as if fulfilling his internal order - to maintain memory for future generations.
The history of the museum began with the purchase of a small yellow BMW Dixi machine, such cars were used for walking along the Alpine Mountains. Vadim Zadorozhny found his first exhibit in Belarus. The case of the machine was used as a large trough for a cow, and the rest of the car were either lost, or looked very deplorable. After buying a car, the search for details and a long process of its restoration began, and now it has become one of the main talismans of the Museum of Vadim Zadorozhny technology.
Vadim Zadorozhny acquired skills at the beginning of x. He worked as a student, buying up the old and emergency “Zhiguli” in Ukraine, and then restored them and sold them in Kyiv and in Moscow. A little later in the year, Zadorozhny designed his overgrown personal collection of cars in the "Car Club of Cabriolets and Roomers". As part of the club, a team of restorers and specialists in the maintenance of retro cars gathered.
The construction of the future museum began on an abandoned field. In the year, a collection of several dozen cars was transported from garage boxes in the industrial zone of Moscow to a new three -story building of the technical center. A year later, a museum storage building was built, and in the year the central building of the complex, where the main exposition of the museum moved.
Today, the exposition contains not only Soviet cars, but also cars from Europe, which were brought as trophies after the end of the Great Patriotic War. In the collection of Vadim Zadorozhny, you can find cars of various famous personalities, cars representing different car body ateliers of France, Germany, and the Czech Republic - in general, cars with character.
And, the most interesting, almost all the technique presented in the museum on the go, which is why it is called the Museum of Living History. For 11 years in a row, on November 7, the museum has been taking part in the tank parade on Red Square. Museum experts restored and restored military equipment, which went to the front from the main square of the country on that distant cold November day.
The former school teacher not only gathered the largest private collection of equipment in Russia, but also turned the exposition into business, and he began to actively engage in this after eight years of work as a history teacher in high school. Zadorozhny opened antique stores, began to trade in real estate. Now, in addition to commercial real estate, hotel and several restaurants in Moscow, the entrepreneur belongs to logging and woodworking enterprises, as well as a travel company specializing in male recreation - hunting and fishing in Kamchatka and Siberia.
He has endless telephone conversations, business meetings, business trips. However, he always finds time to tell and present the most unusual objects of his collection, which, for example, are sketches of Faberet products. They depicted a future item with a description - what stones and enamel will be used, what size the future masterpiece will have. In addition to the Museum of Technology, Vadim Zadorozhny is the general director of the State Museum - the Arkhangelsk estate.
His dream is to buy a car where Felix Sumarokov-Elston traveled in Paris, and we recommend that we place it in the historical estate of the Yusupov family.
