Group trouble biography

Biography of V. he was born a premature child with a little weight, and his parents should have a great difficulty to go out in the difficult post -war years. At the age of 7, he was overtaken by the next blow of fate - he lost both parents his father died in the performance of official duties, his mother died. The boy at an early age remained an orphan and at first lived in Lithuania with his grandmother Praskovy Nikitichny, then became a pupil of orphanages in Vilnius and Kaunas.

At the age of 10, he accidentally hit the representation of the Circus Shapito, and this impression so deeply sunk into the boy’s heart that he decided, at all costs, to become a circus artist. He often began to run away from the orphanage and dwells in the Circus Shapito for days. Over time, the circus artists stopped driving away the boy, and he began to fulfill small assignments.

Watching circus artists, he began to intensively engage in acrobatics, heavy athletics, struggle and gymnastics. These types of classes were necessary for the development of flexibility and the ability to fall, which was a prerequisite for good possession of their body and successful performance as an air gymnast. He adopted the secrets of skill on the crumbs of the circus artists with short contacts during the circus tour.

Persistence took her, and he became an air gymnast. But fate prepared another test to him, and he was shortly for long. In the year, during a performance in the sports palace in Kaunas, as a result of a tragic combination of circumstances, a steel crossbar burst, he collapsed from 13 meter heights with equipment and insurance, not having time to group. As a result of the fall, he received a heavy combined injury compression fracture of the spine, traumatic brain injury and 10 local fractures.

After a week of stay unconscious in intensive care, he came to his senses. It took three months in order to get out of a serious state and then the consequences of a spine fracture came to the fore - complete paralysis of the lower extremities, with a loss of sensitivity below the waist. Official medicine has given an unambiguous forecast for the future - to spend the rest of life in a wheelchair.

And then the question arose before the teenager - what to do? To put up and adapt to life in a wheelchair or start an exhausting struggle with the disease and get to your feet, no matter what. He chose the second. And already in the hospital he began to engage in exercises that he selected intuitively, not knowing either anatomy or physiotherapy exercises for example, began to pump the muscles of the shoulder girdle, back, make turns on the stomach.

At the same time, he began to independently study the anatomy and biomechanics. In addition, he had the idea that it is necessary to use the exercises and non -working limbs to the volume as if they were healthy. He carried out movements in paralyzed legs with the help of a rope tied to his feet, and pulled them with his hands, and then began to use counterweights in the form of cargo.

He came up with a diagram of block devices on bearings himself, and his friends collected and installed it over the bed. For 8 months he had to stay in the hospital, and he was discharged by a disabled person of the 1st group. It would seem everything is a dead end. But fate this time gave him hope, as she managed to get a job as the head of the circus circle in the Palace of Culture.

And although he could not speak, he had the opportunity to do what he loves. In the afternoon he studied with children, and in the evenings before exhaustion he conducted training, performing the exercises that he selected himself, by trial and error. Only in the sixth year of intensive classes in their own empirically selected, the exercise program appeared painful sensitivity, and therefore a real opportunity to return movements in the legs.

It took almost 7 months to make movements in paralyzed legs. Exhausting physical activity not only restored the movements in the legs and a full -fledged life, but also made him a very strong person and already in the year he began to act like a power juggler. Its numbers with balls of 45 kg or tossing weights of 80 kg are still unique. The strength exercises of V.

Dikul were even in the Guinness Book of Records. But V. Dikul made the greatest contribution to medicine with his unique methodology for the rehabilitation of patients with the consequences of the spinal injury. The rumor that Dikul was able to overcome the disease and restore movements in the limbs among people and patients with similar problems from all over the country and not only reached him.

At first, official medicine categorically did not perceive his approach to the treatment of severe spinal patients, and he had to take patients illegally, right in the circus. The stories of real patients who were able to help V. Dikul began to reach the authorities and in the year the USSR Ministry of Health allowed the clinical testing of rehabilitation methods.

For long 5 years on the basis of the Institute.Burdenko was tested by his methods on patients with the consequences of injury to various departments of the spine, as well as with the consequences of cerebral palsy. For this, a special rehabilitation department was organized in the hospital. The results of clinical trials of the methodology have proved their effectiveness and, in the end, was given an official permission to use the methodology.

In the year, V. Dikul was appointed director of the All -Union Center for the Rehabilitation of Patients with the consequences of spinal injury and cerebral palsy. In the year, the technique was registered in the patent bureau. In order to better understand the problems and theoretical justifications of the created methodology created by empirically, V. Dikul actively studied biology as the principles of biomechanics and biophysics are common to all living organisms.

Dikul not only received a university education at the Faculty of Biology, but over time defended the candidate, then a doctoral dissertation. Dikul has many awards of both government and public organizations. At the end of the years, V. Dikul began to engage in not only patients with the consequences of spinal injuries and cerebral palsy, but also other diseases of the musculoskeletal apparatus of a disc hernia, scoliosis, kyphosis, osteochondrosis, etc.

several centers specializing in diseases of the musculoskeletal system were opened. About Valentina Ivanovich Dikula.
