Childhood-Youth Passion for music came to Sergey in early childhood. According to him, he perfectly remembers his attempts to make drums from pots, as well as a desire to learn how to play a gubry accordion. He also remembers his first poem, which he composed in the fourth grade. And the first song, written at the age of 13, which seemed to him a masterpiece. A vivid impression of that time is participation in the choir "Young Paratrooper", where Sergey was a soloist.
The guys performed patriotic songs in between disassembly and assembly of machines. And the first musical instrument that he mastered was, of course, a guitar. A peculiar tribute of that time is a livestock playing a game of a guitar, courtyard songs, participation in amateur performances, namely in VIA. In this sense, Sergei Kurenkov’s creative path is not much different from the path of many now famous masters of the genre song.
Sergei never practiced music professionally. He studied everything himself: at first he selected the chords of his favorite songs, then tried to compose his own compositions. He played in the group "Crystal window" at the Iskra Palace of Culture. He stood at the origins of the famous vocal studio "Talisman" in his native Zelenogorsk. Kurenkov is the author of the first anthem of Zelenogorsk.
Creativity in the years, having served in the army, Sergey began to perform in a restaurant, which, of course, was a good practice, the opportunity to improve skills. And, of course, with a monetary help for a young guy, at that time a student of the Academy of Culture and Arts. A little later, with the presentation of a comrade with whom they played in a restaurant, Sergei joined the Bon-Hey group, known at that time not only in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but also beyond.
One of the most famous hits of the group was the provocative song “Comrade Gorbachev, goodbye! After that, the guys began a successful period. Two albums were released, tours began in Russia, including in Moscow and St. Petersburg. But after some time, Sergei seriously engaged in business, eventually moved to Moscow, and the musical career gradually faded into the background.
No, he did not stop composing songs, but he most often did it “on the table”, sometimes performing them to friends. Sergei pushed a personal drama - parting with her beloved woman pushed back to active occupation. He retired to the studio for six months, completely devoting himself to writing songs, finding in this a kind of salvation. Everything that was composed during this period is deeply lyrical, each line is saturated with emotions and experiences.

Subsequently, a clip was shot on this song, in which Svetlana Koroleva, the winner of the titles “Miss Europe” and “Miss Russia”, played the main role.
Step by step, his name becomes a large circle of listeners. Sergey chose the path to their hearts not the fastest. It would seem that a person who combines creativity with a business, many issues contributing to promotion could be solved by a famous way. But Sergey excludes for himself an option in which popularity is bought for money. According to him, everything should "leak by itself." An example of this is the video for his song “Two Angels”, which the program director of one of the federal radio stations accidentally heard on the Internet.
It was immediately decided to take a clip on it. Another example, which is an indicator of the high level of Kurenkov as a performer, was his cooperation with the famous producer and composer Maxim Fadeev. This union was an experiment for both: Fadeev first worked with the performer in the chanson genre, and Sergei Kurenkov rarely performed the songs of other authors. But the result exceeded all expectations.
The song "Woman" took a worthy place in the singer’s repertoire, in the near plans - shooting a video clip. In the year, after a series of performances at the largest sites of both capitals, he was seriously called a competitor to Stas Mikhailov. Today, the artist’s discography is small - in the year he released his first album with a limited gift circulation, but soon promises to please his fans with a new plate.
