Seasons Biography


The Spiritual Seasons group, which means "spiritual times", was formed in Kharkov in the year. Most of the time it was a studio project, which was conceived and embodied by Viktor Smirnov in the feasible help of friends. In the year, the first album called Mistland, recorded at the Victor home studio, was released. The studio at that time was known as “Undertaker” an album in the style of the British ballad folk was released by a small circulation on audio cassettes.

Soon the idea of ​​the next album was born - the recording of the folk - opera based on the poem by Walter Scott “The Eve of Saint John”, this work was designed to determine and stabilize the composition. But, despite the initial enthusiasm, it was not possible to decide with the composition. However, the record was nevertheless brought to the end, and was released in the city at about the same time, a collection of ballads was published, not included in the first two albums, entitled “The Tales from the Dark Forest”.

In the process of this work, a more or less stable composition began to loom: Victor Smirnov-vocals, guitar, sound engineer; Slyusarsky Alexey - guitar, bass, percussion; Mashkovtsev Evgeny - drums, percussion, flute. At the same time, for the first time, Mikhail Papush, a guitar, who later became a musician of the main composition, was invited as a session musician. The record was completed in May G.

Creative activity was interrupted up to a year. This was also due to the fact that Victor had a replenishment in the family - the son of Anton was born. The new life of the group began with a banal purchase of a computer. Pretty quickly the old 4-channel tape recorder went to the landfill-now it has been replaced by digital technologies. At first, all the old spiritual seasons were digitized, and from several things, the mixes were made that were included in the collection “The Tales from the Dark Forest”.

It was decided to record several Irish folk songs, under the Bango and the guitar, and see what would come of it. As a result, Audio - compact “Vol 5”, in the year, in whose record was participated: Victor Smirnov - vocals, guitar, sound engineer; Papush Mikhail - Bango, guitar, mandolin, vocals; Trushevsky Andrey - violin; Vorvik Dima - bass El Hooligans; Slyusarsky Alexei - guitar El Hooligans; Sevak Igor - flute; In the album, along with the English folk, Irish folk songs and melodies sounded ballads.

However, the most significant event during the recording of the album was the fact that then four -year -old Anton, seeing the Ukrainian Sopilka and listening carefully to it, firmly and adultly said: "I want to play on the flute." No sooner said than done. After a year and a half, Anton began training at the Blok Class School - flute, and so far he was still timidly tried to play the first sounds for recording.

In the same year, the duet of Victor and Anton Smirnov was created, who successfully performed at all family holidays, performing Irish songs and melodies, where Anton's flute was occupied by a full place.

Seasons Biography

Soon, the idea came to speak on a more serious stage. An invitation was received from the Kharkov club of Russian Rock to play before the performance of the Kyiv folk group "Basquers". It was decided for this performance to collect musicians participating in the recording of the last album.
