Pavel Kantorov Biography

This is all the more interesting that in the trio I am played by demanded bright musicians - Maxim Nekrasov on chromatic labial harmonic and Cyril Cavaliers on drums. Our trio does not perform jazz in the traditional sense of this style, we play modern New Jazz music and, as a rule, during the set we move both towards academic neoclassica and in the direction of driven Latin and fan rhythms.

In addition, I am a young composer, and memorable melodies will also sound. By agreement with the organizers, our set will entirely consist of author's material. Among my acquaintances, many are going to come to the festival, not being some special connoisseurs of jazz. These people visit both the Philharmonic and the Opera Theater. They just love music performed by good musicians, and such festivals just provide an opportunity to listen to several in one evening.

In my opinion, the division of music into styles is also quite conditional. If you follow the creative biography, for example, some pop singer, it often turns out that he tried himself in the classics and in rock, especially this applies to instrumentalists. I work with the Neoclassician team, this is a chamber orchestra that gives concerts in academic halls. I am a conductor in this project.

Buy tickets for Jazz Love Fest - in your opinion, how important it is at the current time to continue to give music to people? Music and, say, a civil position is not directly related things. On the other side, there will always be both classic lovers and lovers of the author’s song or group “Beatles”. Our world is imperfect, it is clarified by relations, and not always in a civilized form.

But it also always remain creativity, positive, humanity, kindness. We are for the purity of the human soul. As the Viennese composer Joseph Gaydn said, "music only in that case has some value, if, listening to it, a person finds light in his soul."
