The hero of the book immediately fell in love with readers, because the Dragunsky, as a loving parent, made his son a purely positive hero.

The story Victor Dragunsky is the author of two stories. The first book that he wrote in the year was autobiographical and was called "He fell into the grass." The work was dedicated to the militias who defended Moscow from the Germans in the year. The second work - “Today and daily” - spoke about the artists of the circus. Dragunsky himself, in a letter to the poet Mikhail Svetlov, admitted that his story tells about the heart of the clown, his pain and anxiety for the world.
