Biography Sinisalo
The Helmer-Rainer Nesterovich Sinisalo on June 14 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Helmer-Rainer Nesterovich Sinisalo, an outstanding composer, one of the founders of professional Karelian music. The rich creative heritage of the composer includes works of various genres, here and symphonies, cantata, chamber-instrumental, choral and chamber-vocal. But the main genre, where the intonations that are inherent only to music Sinisalo sound the most bright and visibly, was ballet.
In his ballet scores there is everything, both melodics, and bright images of characters, colorful genre and fantastic scenes. In the field of choreography, the composer tries his strength during the war, when he, an artist of the symphony orchestra, was transferred to the Republican Musical Comedy Theater, evacuated to Belomorsk. The situation of the theater in the current army, of course, was very difficult.
But, despite the difficulties of wartime, Sinisalo, along with a game in the orchestra, continued to compose and engage in self -education. On the initiative of the two dancers from the theater ballet, he wrote the choreographic poem “Victory”, which was set by the artists - M. Chulanova and Z. Vseru and danced in concerts for the front. Of course, the patriotic work was a huge success, it found a lively response among the audience, who were mainly soldiers, and even then, the composer originated a dream of creating a large ballet.
But, this desire was realized much later. This was one of the first books read by a young helmer. And every year he loved her more and more, especially when he was lucky enough to hear real fleece. Even during the Great Patriotic War, he wrote a one -act ballet “Kyullika’s abduction”, and although, according to the author, ballet, as a holistic work did not take place, many musical ideas received genuine creative embodiment in the future.
To do this, Helmer Nesterovich created all the conditions, a piano was brought to the rest of the rest under the Sortaval, where he began to work on music, and the composer could compose fruitfully, drawing inspiration in beautiful Karelian land. Creativity, the process is extremely intimate, and any artist needs loneliness and communication with nature. From the very beginning of the appearance of the plan, G.
Sinisalo began to work with I. Smirnov, a choreographer, who was entrusted with an important mission to put the first national ballet. As the “sleeping beauty” was composed by Tchaikovsky according to the compositional plan of Marius Petip, so Sampo wrote with Smirnov. When some part was written, Smirnov came, and together they outlined a plan for further work on the ballet. Igor Valentinovich, in his book “Dancing Karelia” wrote about the music of ballet: “What the composer composed was always interesting for his intonation, melody, very peculiar harmony.
He was freely oriented in the wealth of national folklore, subtly felt the need for the dramatic saturation of the material. Sinisalo with his music revealed the choreographer, directorial vision of the performance, deeply delved into the essence of choreographic images. ” And here, too, they wandered along the shore for hours, fantasized and dreamed of what the future ballet will become.
But not everything was so smooth, sometimes some scene did not work out in any way, they argued, arguing and proving their rightness to each other. Then, the only thing that was supposed to be born of disputes. Music "sampo", with all its symphony, is unusually easy to fall on the dance, or perhaps it is easy to dance to this music?
At the first sounds, she captures the whole listener, and he can no longer get out of her power. It gives rise to images that come to life outside theatrical walls when performed in symphonic concerts. Looking ahead, I must say that after showing the ballet at the decade in Moscow, the article by A. Khachaturian about Sampo appeared in the newspaper Pravda.
Sinisalo in her music, in particular, says: “Even at the first listening, you understand how close and dear to the author everything that he talks about in his work is. Music is marked by the uniqueness of national color, a high level of composer technology, many of its pages are truly exciting. We can safely say that G.'s music is Sinisalo Symphony. In this regard, the composer fruitfully develops the traditions characteristic of Russian ballet classics.
